“New Office” Rules
“New Office” rules apply to a U.S. Company that has been doing business in the U.S. for less than one at the time of application for the L-1. In such a case, the employee will be approved for one year.You may apply for an extension after one year by showing the new office is active and viable.
Proof a physical premises in the U.S. (business lease) and a Business Plan must be submitted at the time of the application in addition to the other standard evidence required for the L-1.
